Small Wonders Superheros

This past Saturday my kids and I participated in the 3rd Annual CASA 5K Superhero Run. CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) is an organization of volunteers that serve as advocates for abused and neglected children. As soon as I found out about this organization I jumped on the bandwagon. In my voyage for purpose I felt like this was the perfect place for me. I am generally a compassionate person but God knew that my heart lies with children. So, like I said the kids and I ran(or rather we walked and jogged) and actually finished....yeah!!!! I was next to the last person across the finish line but in my defense I had a stroller and a lot of people that were behind me gave up somewhere between the first and second mile. Nevertheless, I am proud of my time: 3 miles in 57:57....Go me....go Small Wonders Superheros!! I really wish I would have taken pictures of all of the amazing superhero costumes, but boy am I glad I didn't wear my Wonder Woman costume....there were more than I could count. And there were so many great activities for the kids and if I didn't mention before FREE Chick-Fil-A! Yum.On a more serious note, CASA receives minimum funding and must always find ways to fundraise and get sponsors. Please take a moment to visit www.henricocasa.org or www.casa.org and if you are able to please make a donation. As always here are some pictures of the event.

Delainey's Dora Party

D-d-d-d-d-Dora, D-d-d-d-d-Dora, Dora, Dora, Dora the explorer..........can't get this song out of my head after planning this Dora y Diego party for sweet little 5 year old Delainey. I never was a big Dora fan, but of course with each party I fall in love with each character. This party was so much fun to plan......and attend. See for yourself.
